Clint Hoffner - July 07, 2013
Clint Hoffner, 33, of Highwood, Mont., and formerly of Kersey, died July 9, 2013, in Denver. Clint was born Aug. 14, 1979, in Sterling to Gary and Alberta (Marx) Hoffner, who were living in Amherst at the time.
He attended school in Holyoke, Fort Collins and Windsor. He graduated from Windsor High School in 1998, where he played football and baseball. Clint was also very active in 4-H, showing market swine in many local, county, state and national shows.
He attended Northeastern Junior College in Sterling and returned to the Kersey area to farm and help run a custom haying business. He moved to Highwood in 2006 to work on a large dryland farming operation.
Clint was an avid outdoorsman, loving to hunt deer and elk in the Belt Mountain Range and return to eastern Colorado to hunt pheasant in the fall with friends.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Harold and Virginia Marx.
Clint is survived by his parents, Gary Hoffner and wife Lori of Yuma and Alberta Marx of Fort Collins; sister, Angela Kalous and husband Tyler of Parker; grandparents, Donald and Mildred Hoffner of Eaton; and many cousins.
Arrangements were made with Howe Funeral Home in Longmont.
Celebration of life events were held in Stratton and Highwood.
