Larry Redden - August 21, 2013
Larry G. Redden, 63, died Aug. 21, 2013, at Medical Center of the Rockies in Loveland. He was born Aug. 18, 1950, in Wray to Leonard and Iona Redden.
Larry had lived in the Brush community for about 55 years. He graduated from Brush High School in 1969. Following high school graduation, Larry attended Northeastern Junior College in Sterling until being drafted into the U.S. Army during the Vietnam conflict.
On April 30, 1983, Larry married Kim Beckius in Holyoke. Following his discharge, Larry moved back to Brush. Larry was the owner/operator of Larry & Kim Redden Trucking Company.
Larry was a member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church. He was a member and cofounder of the Vietnam Veterans. He enjoyed playing softball, drag racing, riding his Harley and playing with his grandkids.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
He is survived by his wife, Kim of Brush; three children, Lanette Nestor, Jeremy Redden and Zach Redden, all of Brush; four sisters, Linda Kolman and Cathy Gray, both of Brush, Judy Paul of Fort Morgan and Debbie Dowis of Sterling; six grandchildren; and father-in-law and mother-in-law, Don and Gloria Beckius of Holyoke.
A funeral service to honor Larry’s life was held Aug. 26 at Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Brush. Interment followed at the Brush Memorial Cemetery.
Memorial gifts may be given in lieu of flowers to the Larry Redden Memorial Fund, with funds to be given to health care facilities that assisted with Larry’s previous cardiac issues, c/o Heer Mortuary, 222 Cameron, Brush, CO 80723.
