Jean Redmon - July 31, 2009
Imogene Aldean Redmon, age 74, of Holyoke, died Friday, July 31, 2009 in Loveland. She was born Oct. 23, 1934 to Ira and Alameda Green in Greeley.
Jean lived in Greeley until her marriage to Melvin Lee Redmon on July 20, 1952. They lived in Thornton for several years where Jean drove a school bus and worked at Lehr’s Flowers. Living in Crook and then Holyoke, she was a housewife until Melvin died in 1986.
Jean worked as a certified nurse’s aide at Melissa Memorial Hospital and then at the nursing home in Holyoke. She recently stopped working at the assisted living facilities.
Her hobbies included collecting elephants, watching movies and fishing.
Survivors include son, Scott Redmon and his wife Carol of Holyoke; daughter, Kaylee Mendonca and husband Greg of Columbus, Ohio; grandchildren, Crystal Stapleton and husband Ted of Holyoke, Melissa Mayden and husband Schad of Holyoke and Crystal Graves and husband Ed of Colorado Springs; great-grandchildren, Makaila and Lane Stapleton, Taylor and Brendan Mayden and Amber Graves; friends, Lloyd and LaVonne Krueger, Detta Bjorklun and many others.
Jean was preceded in death by parents, Ira and Alameda Green; brother, Verlin Green; husband, Melvin Lee Redmon; daughter DeeAnn Beard; and great-grandson, Ty Scott Stapleton.
There was no visitation.
Memorial service was scheduled Wednesday, Aug. 5 at Gerk Funeral Home in Holyoke with Pastor Jim Blake officiating.
Inurnment followed in Holyoke Memorial Park.
