Monica Ruybal - November 13, 2009
Monica Ruby Ruybal, age 38, of Holyoke, died Friday, Nov. 13, 2009 in Holyoke.
Monica was born Jan. 18, 1971 to Dale Ruybal and Delsey Jean Ruybal in Pueblo.
Monica married Abel Corral and later Juan Ramirez. She was blessed with five children, Jose, Marisela, Marielena, Angelica and Andres.
She worked as a cook at Invesco Field and she loved working at Subway.
Singing, drawing, cooking, dancing and crocheting are some of the things she enjoyed. She especially loved her grandchildren. They knew her as “Mama Monkey.”
Monica is preceded in death by her father, Dale Ruybal Sr.; grandparents Agustine Cordova and Juan and Jesusita Ruybal; and sisters Sara Gallegos and Susan Ruybal.
Surviving her are her mother, Delsey Jean Ruybal; children, Jose, Marisela and Marielena of Denver and Angelica and Andres of Greeley; brothers Dale Ruybal Jr. and J.D. Ruybal; sisters Jeanette Almeida, Arabella Gutierrez and Dori Benavides; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Funeral service was scheduled Wednesday, Nov. 18 at 3 p.m. at Gerk Funeral Home in Holyoke. Services concluded at the funeral home.
