Enterprise salutes grain producers in special section inserted this week
    “A Salute to Grain” can be found inside this week’s edition of the Enterprise. Johnson Publications newspapers in Holyoke and Imperial, Grant and Wauneta, all in Nebraska, teamed up to introduce readers to feature articles, photos and area advertisers, all centered around the grain industry.
    
Smorgasbord dinner, concert are Friday
    The Music Parents Association is hosting its annual smorgasbord dinner Friday, Feb. 24, from 5-7 p.m. at Holyoke Elementary School. Tickets can be purchased at the door or by calling Sharon Strauss at 970-854-2434 or Cecilia Marquez at 970-854-4509.
    A free concert begins at 7 p.m. at the HHS auditorium and features band instrumentalists in grades 5-12 and vocalists in grades 7-12.
    
Regent Park to host chili cook-off Tuesday
    The fifth annual chili cook-off sponsored by Regent Park and Carriage House is set for Tuesday, Feb. 28. Submissions should be taken to 816 S. Interocean Ave. by 4 p.m. The community is invited to the chili tasting at 5 p.m.
    Residents will serve as judges. Green chili, red chili and traditional chili can all be submitted in slow cookers. The residents look forward to the wide variety of spice and seasoning that are entered, so don’t be afraid to pack the flavor. The winner will receive $200 to a charity of their choice.

Kids get break from school Monday

    Due to a teacher inservice, students in Holyoke School District Re-1J will get the day off next Monday, Feb. 27.
