Does your quilt tell a story?

CQC quilt documentation available Feb. 11

Sometimes quilts make owners wonder, “How was this made?” or “How old is this quilt?” Other times, quilt owners just want to document and preserve the history of a quilt.
The Colorado Quilting Council will be providing quilt documentation at Creative Traditions, 115 S. Interocean in Holyoke, Saturday, Feb. 11, beginning at 9 a.m.
CQC has been documenting Colorado quilts throughout the state since the early 1980s. Teams research the fabrics, patterns and other elements used in quilts while asking owners questions about the history of it.
With data on over 10,000 quilts, the documentation committee is currently inputting the accumulated information into a database that is available to owners, students and researchers worldwide.
