Freedom Construction and Painting builds champion parade float

Red, white, and blue were on proud display in the July 29 Phillips County Fair parade, as participants and spectators alike celebrated the fair and honored U.S. veterans.

Winning grand champion and first place in the business category was Freedom Construction and Painting. CHS High Plains took second and Holyoke Community Federal Credit Union third. 

In the civic groups category, Phillips County Players took first, and Dragon’s Wagon Preschool placed second.

In the youth category, the Better Beef Makers 4-H Club took first, Holyoke FFA chapter second, and Haxtun FFA chapter third.
