Join Colorado Agriculture in the Classroom as a board member

Colorado Agriculture in the Classroom is excited to announce an incredible opportunity to contribute to the development of agricultural literacy education across the state. CoAITC is currently seeking passionate individuals to join the organization as volunteer members to serve on the board of directors and the advisory board. This is a chance to make a lasting impact on the lives of students and teachers by promoting the importance of agriculture in Colorado’s classrooms.

As a nonprofit organization established in 1991, CoAITC aims to advance agricultural literacy by providing authentic, standards-aligned programs and resources for prekindergarten through 12th grade formal and informal instruction. This is accomplished through a combination of printed and electronic resources, in-person and virtual student presentations, teacher professional development, educational activities at public events, and multiple communications and outreach efforts. CoAITC annually reaches 325,000 students, teachers, families and individuals in urban, suburban and rural communities across Colorado.

“Those who serve as directors and advisors play a crucial role in shaping the strategic direction of Colorado Agriculture in the Classroom and driving our mission forward. Our board is built of individuals with diverse backgrounds, expertise, and a strong commitment to agriculture and education,” said Ashley Wilcox, CoAITC president. “This is an opportunity to collaborate with like-minded professionals and contribute to a cause that positively impacts Colorado.”
