Mental health first aid training set

    Centennial Mental Health Center will be hosting two free Mental Health First Aid courses. The first will be held at Jackson State Park at 26363 County Road 3 in Orchard Tuesday, March 14, from 10 a.m.-5 p.m. The second training will be at Sedgwick County Department of Human Services at 118 W. 3rd St. in Julesburg Monday, March 20, from 9 a.m.-4:30 p.m.  
    Mental health challenges — such as depression, anxiety, psychosis and substance use — are shockingly common in the United States. In fact, more than 1 in 5 American adults will have a mental health problem in any given year. Centennial Mental Health Center provides Mental Health First Aid courses to prepare communities with the knowledge and skills to help individuals who are developing a mental health problem or experiencing a mental health crisis.
