    Robert Charles Potter of the Eben Ezer Lutheran Care Center in Brush, formerly of Haxtun, died Feb. 10, 2017, at the age of 86. He was born April 7, 1930, in Benkelman, Nebraska, to Roy Harlen and Rose Loretta (O’Brien) Potter.
    Bob attended Highland Center Grade School and Haxtun High School and graduated in 1948. He married Elizabeth Mary Artzer Potter June 28, 1949, at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church in Sterling. Liz died Dec. 2, 2003.
    Bob worked for the Army Corps of Engineers at Hells Canyon, the Snake River and the Columbia River in Washington and Oregon from 1955-1962. He then returned to Haxtun and worked at Potter’s Power Vac and Potter’s Septic Service until 2000.
    Bob is survived by three daughters, Deanna Fowler and husband Ted of Natchitoches, Louisiana, Beverly Nosewicz and husband Tom of Aurora, and Barbara Dolezal of Big Springs, Nebraska; grandchildren, Robert Fowler and wife Hannah of Natchitoches, Blake Fowler and wife Kara of Natchitoches, Jeffrey Johnson, M.D., and wife Jill of Brookings, South Dakota, Richard Johnson and wife Nicole of Centennial, Kevin Dolezal of Norfolk, Virginia, and Jason Dolezal of San Diego, California; great-grandchildren, Trey Fowler, Scott Fowler, Preston Fowler, Xander Fowler, Dominick Fowler, Elle Johnson, Jonah Johnson, Henry Johnson and Isaac Johnson; siblings, Helen Potter Haskins of Crowley, Louisiana, Richard Potter and wife Jeannie of Haxtun, Patricia Larson and husband Merl of Yuba City, California, and Royce Potter and wife Janet of Haxtun; and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.
    He was preceded in death by his parents, Roy and Rose Potter; wife, Liz Potter; and brother-in-law, Larry Haskins.
