Community excellence award winners named at annual chamber gala

Winners of the 2021 community excellence awards were announced at the 30th annual Holyoke Chamber of Commerce gala Monday, Jan. 24, at Phillips County Event Center. Recipients are pictured from left, front row, Business of the Year Brandt Chiropractic, including Chris Gerk, Janice Kilpatrick, Deb Brandt and Dr. Jerry Brandt; and back row, Employee of the Year Bobbie Blake, Citizen of the Years James Scholl, Citizen of the Year Tom Bennett and Youth of the Year Samuel Brown. Not pictured is New Business of the Year The Turquoise Chandelier and STAR Award winner Brenda Brandt. The evening was led by chamber director Holly Ferguson and chamber board members. Attendees enjoyed a meal catered by Happy Jacks Barbeque with a wine-tasting station by Red’s Liquors. The Enterprise will be featuring each of the award winners in upcoming editions of the newspaper.
