SY7 Messianic Assembly shares biblical roots at new location

SY7 Messianic Assembly had its first service Saturday, May 29, at its new location in the back of Inklings Bookstore at 221 N. Interocean Ave.

Paul Rowe and his wife Michelle started the ministry in July 2011, establishing a church in Lakewood in 2013 and guest speaking at local churches in addition to having a radio ministry in the Denver area at the time.

Paul said the church derives its name from the Hebrew word “shma,” which means “hear and obey,” and Yisrael, how Israel is pronounced in Hebrew.

They have been in Holyoke since October 2020. They have two adult daughters, Breanna and Mikayla, who also live in Holyoke.

They are joined by assistant pastor Daniel Brown and his wife Alysha, who came to Holyoke in August 2020 with their two sons Samuel and Nathaniel, as well as pastor Anthony Avalos and his wife Angela of Sterling, Robert Reigan of North Platte, Nebraska, who is an elder in the church, and James Linse, who arrived in Holyoke in February and serves as deacon and pastor.
