National FFA Week has high school falling in love with agriculture
Ag Olympics, Barnyard Day and more had Holyoke JR/SR High School celebrating FFA and agriculture Tuesday-Friday, Feb. 21-24, capped off with the annual Kiss-a-Pig competition. Band director Chris Lampkin won this year’s pucker-up honors, as the jar with his name on it earned more money from students than any other staff jar. The entire school gathers to watch him make good on the honor Friday afternoon as he plants a lipsticked smooch on Festus the potbellied pig. José Prieto, at left, and Monica Dominguez are among those watching the spectacle. See more FFA Week coverage by clicking here. —Johnson Publications photo
