10 Holyoke FFA members attend national convention

From Oct. 25-31, 10 members of the Holyoke FFA chapter traveled to Indianapolis, Indiana, for the National FFA Convention.

On the way, they stopped in Gothenburg, Nebraska, where they visited a water conservation test site. Students learned about how water and other factors affect the growth of crops and how farmers can get more yield with less water usage.

Students visited Hawkeye Breeders Service in Adel, Iowa, where they learned about artificial insemination. They toured facilities where customers’ bulls from around the world are stored, and they also got to tour their lab facility.
