13 FFA members ‘Elevate’ at state

Austin Vieselmeyer retires as 2016-17 Colorado FFA state treasurer

Holyoke had 13 members among the 1,500 from across Colorado at the state FFA convention at Colorado State University-Pueblo June 13-15. “Elevate” was the theme for the 2017 state FFA convention, with speakers and workshops focused on elevating members’ drive, passion, service and more.
Those from Holyoke at the event included Tyler Camblin, Wyatt McCallum, Taylor Hendrix, Rebecca Owens, Cash Adler, Alex Vieselmeyer, Chase Beckner, Brenna Sullivan, Emma Roll, Kaylee Camblin, Colby Purkeypile and Tristen Roll, chaperoned by adviser Shauna Brown, and 2016-17 FFA state treasurer Austin Vieselmeyer.
Brown said that the trip went very well. For the majority of the students, it was their first time at the conference. “Our members were really excited and inspired by what some other chapters are doing, and want to bring some of those things back to Holyoke,” said the adviser. “They got what they should have out of the trip, and that’s always awesome.”
