20 FCCLA members headed to nationals in Nashville

Twenty Holyoke High School Family, Career and Community Leaders of America competing at state FCCLA at the Sheraton Downtown Denver Hotel April 13-15 qualified for nationals.

Earning first-place gold medals and continuing on to nationals in July are the junior parliamentary procedure team consisting of Shianne Willmon, Slaten Burris, Lauren Bergner, Caleb Deaver, Josie Herman, Emily Jelden, Tristen Roll and Alexis Vega; and the senior parliamentary procedure team consisting of Daniela Baeza, Brian Beltran, Oscar Hernandez, Kayla Marshall, Juana Penzing, Logan Osborne and M.J. Taylor.

Also qualifying with first-place gold medals are the chapter review portfolio team, Tica Penzing and Anna Jelden; and the chapter service team, Brook Prottsman, Austin Herman and Tyler Lamm, who carried out the recent “Every 15 Minutes” project focused on drinking and driving prevention.
