4th graders learn economics in piggy bank contest
Winners of the Holyoke Elementary School fourth grade piggy bank contest were announced Friday, May 7.
Classroom 4A winners were Rebekah Krieger, wise owl, first; Izamar Montes Beltran, ATM, second; and Leah Armendariz Ochoa, hot air balloon, third.
Winners from classroom 4B were Liliana Vasquez, lighthouse, first; Juan Nuñez, Army plane, second; and Raia Sprague, popcorn, third.
Honorable mention piggy banks included Victoria Baeza’s candy vending machine, Marlon Chavez Maradiaga’s Tom and Jerry cartoon, Kynlea Nelson’s crosses and Leroy Lee’s computer.
