Ag Night lassos up some Phillips County fun

After senior basketball player Kaylee Camblin had her turn on the court for the Phillips County Showdown Friday, Jan. 11, in Holyoke, her dad, Kris Camblin, pictured above, has his chance to compete against the Haxtun Bulldogs, this time with a rope instead of a basketball. Pictured at right is Sara Ring, a teammate of Kris Camblin, Jessica Cumming and Kurt Purkeypile during the Ag Night Farm Olympics. The Holyoke adult team went up against Holyoke kids, Haxtun adults and Haxtun kids, with the Haxtun adults winning the relay event. An FFA meal with locally produced food and ag-based booths set up in the commons area were also featured during the second annual Ag Night. Bulldog wins in both girls and boys varsity basketball games transferred the golden corn trophies from Holyoke to Haxtun until the next Phillips County Showdown in 2020. — The Holyoke Enterprise | Johnson Publications
