Applewood is new CFO at MMH

David Applewood hit the ground running Friday, Sept. 25, in his new position as chief financial officer at Melissa Memorial Hospital.

Applewood was drawn to MMH after observing the family atmosphere at the hospital and connecting with leadership, managers and staff during his interview in Holyoke. In his experience, he has found that small hospitals work better as a team.

The new CFO’s goal is to have MMH run as efficiently as possible in regard to financials, always working in a proper and fair manner. Another aspect of the job he’s looking forward to is creating good working relationships.

Applewood grew up in northern Virginia in a suburb of Washington, D.C.
