Bennet to host Farm Bill sessions

    Colorado U.S. Sen. Michael Bennet is partnering with local producers and agricultural organizations to hold listening sessions across the state in advance of his work on the next Farm Bill.
    Northeast Colorado dates and locations include:
    —Thursday, March 23: Weathers Family Farms, 11600 Hwy. 34, Yuma, 9:30-11 a.m.; Northeastern Junior College, Tennant Art Gallery, 100 College Ave., Sterling, 1-2:30 p.m.; and Quail Ridge Dairy, 13500 Co. Rd. 21, Fort Morgan, 3:30-5 p.m.
    —Tuesday, March 28: Midway Theater, 446 14th St., Burlington, 10:30 a.m.-noon.
    Bennet, a member of the Senate Committee on Agriculture, Nutrition and Forestry, held similar staff-led meetings with farmers and ranchers that informed his work on the 2014 Farm Bill.
