Brinkemas place in corn yield contest

    A pair of Brinkemas have been recognized as top Colorado performers in the 2018 National Corn Yield Contest conducted by the National Corn Growers Association.
    Harry Brinkema placed first in the state in the non-irrigated category with a yield of 131.6461 bushels per acre. He used Pioneer 35F37 hybrid.
    In the no-till/strip-till non-irrigated division, Ross Brinkema placed second with a yield of 142.0006 bushels per acre. He used Pioneer P0157 hybrid.      
    The NCGA National Corn Yield Contest is an annual U.S. competition among corn growers with the goal of capitalizing on the high genetic yield potential of today’s corn hybrids. It also encourages the development of sustainable, new and innovative management practices that result in higher yield potential.
