Holyoke High School graduate Rod Ellis was recently recognized by AAA Colorado when his Aurora business, Ellis Automotive, was given the honorary distinction of being named the “Top Shop.”

Criteria for the award include 98% or more customer satisfaction score, high regard for AAA brand, known for going above and beyond the call of duty, and involvement in community.

Ellis gives credit to his hometown of Holyoke when he notes that he built his reputation of running an honest business by utilizing his small-town values in the big city to take care of his customers.

Ellis has been in the automotive repair business for more than 30 years, but semiretired about four years ago. He is the son of Bonnie McFadden of Holyoke.
