Businesses, students brought together at FBLA business fair

    Educating students about career opportunities and promoting local businesses were two of the main goals of a business fair and workshops held at Holyoke High School on Feb. 5. Future Business Leaders of America chapter members Savannah Burris, Kyra Loutensock and Kaylee Camblin organized the fair for their FBLA project, Partnership with Business.
    Last semester, the three created a survey to assess community needs. Around Christmastime, the survey was sent to local businesses. They answered questions about what essential skills students and prospective employers were missing as well as how the school could help businesses thrive.
