Cano named interim director of nursing at Melissa Memorial Hospital

Melissa Memorial Hospital’s new interim director of nursing is a familiar face. Jennifer Cano, RN, BSN, will be utilizing her 20-plus years of nursing experience in her new role.
Cano will add the DON duties to her others at MMH, where she is currently the director of quality and risk, infection preventionist and employee health nurse.
CEO Cathy Harshbarger said former DON Julianne Kramer is no longer with the organization.
Cano’s interim role was effective Friday, Jan. 8, and MMH will be looking into internal and external candidates for the position, added Harshbarger.
