Cattlemen’s Ball ‘Round Up A Cure’ theme reflects southwest Nebraska

The Cattlemen’s Ball of Nebraska is heading to southwest Nebraska, June 7-8, 2019, along the Frenchman Creek near Enders Reservoir.
This week, organizers are releasing the event logo and theme, “Round Up A Cure.”
Hosts Derek and Allison Sandman of Wauneta, Nebraska, and Wayne and Chris Krausnick of Imperial, Nebraska, want area residents to keep the date in mind and noted the “Ball” is not a dance and is not just for cowboys or cattle producers.
The Cattlemen’s Ball is an annual event that raises money for cancer research, for promotion of beef in a healthy diet and for promotion of “The Good Life” in rural Nebraska.
Ninety percent of all proceeds from The Cattlemen’s Ball will be given to the University of Nebraska Medical Center’s Fred and Pamela Buffett Cancer Center in Omaha, Nebraska. The center provides cutting-edge research and patient care in Nebraska.
The remaining 10 percent of proceeds are returned back to the local communities for support of their own health and wellness initiatives.
