Chamber organizes retail scavenger hunt

In an effort to provide some entertainment, as well as education of local business inventory, Holyoke Chamber of Commerce has organized a retail scavenger hunt — complete with prizes — for June 22-28.

Chamber director Holly Ferguson and intern Victoria Hatton said this event is also an effort to reintroduce the community to businesses that have reopened as restrictions have been eased due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

It’s intended to help community members become acquainted with businesses’ new norms in terms of open hours, as well as requirements for shopping.

Those taking part in the scavenger hunt next week are asked to take a selfie with each scavenger hunt item required for 11 businesses.

Participating businesses include Creative Traditions, Holyoke General Store, The Oak Tree, Inklings & More, Viaero Wireless, Printers Paper & More, Jake’s Feed, Country Treasures, Jak & Liz, Reese Appliance and Holyoke Lumber.
