Collaboration important theme at PC On Board

Over 20 people attended the Phillips County On Board meeting hosted by Phillips County Economic Development on Monday, Oct. 25, at Paoli Town Hall.

Representatives of Phillips County, the city of Holyoke, the towns of Haxtun and Paoli, Melissa Memorial Hospital, Haxtun Health, and Holyoke and Haxtun chambers of commerce and school districts enjoyed a meal and brought their ideas to a roundtable discussion about many topics affecting Phillips County communities.

The meeting’s focus was to share successes, provide updates on projects and talk about ideas and needs with other entities in Phillips County.

“That’s really what economic development is here for,” PCED executive director Trisha Herman said, emphasizing the goal is to come together as a community and collaborate.

“No idea is a dumb idea,” she continued. “We need to make sure that we’re working together as a community to really make sure that we’re growing.”
