County accepting COVID relief fund applications

Phillips County is now accepting a second round of applications from Phillips County businesses for available coronavirus relief funds.

Local businesses are still trying to recover from the very challenging economic climate due to the COVID-19 pandemic and the state mandates associated with it. As Phillips County was awarded additional relief funds, the original business grant program is expanding.

Any county business which was operational prior to mid-March 2020 and continues to be in business today and experienced a loss of income due to business interruptions and/or unbudgeted expenses directly related to COVID-19 could qualify for a grant award, even if the business received an earlier award from the county.

Those businesses that have already been awarded grant funds will not be required to complete a full application but must submit a 2020 tax return as well as a year-to-date profit and loss statement.

Applications can be picked up at the Phillips County Administrative Office, 221 S. Interocean Ave., Holyoke, or they can be found online at phillipscounty.colorado.gov.

All applications must be received by Friday, June 25, at the Phillips County Administrative Office. No late or incomplete applications will be considered.

Questions regarding the relief fund application process should be directed to County Administrator Laura Schroetlin at 970-854-3778.
