Drought training offered

We can’t control drought. But we can change how it impacts our agricultural operations. There will be a free Drought Leadership Training to help people with drought planning, offered by the Colorado Ag Drought Advisors.

The training will begin with four virtual workshops beginning Friday, Feb. 4, from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. It will culminate in a March in-person training on each side of the state. The eastern session will be March 15-16 at the River View Event Center in Morgan County.

Anyone who works with agriculture producers is invited to attend, as well as individual farmers and ranchers. At the conclusion of the course, participants will have a deeper understanding of coping strategies before, during and after drought occurs.
