Electric vehicle charging station recently installed at Highline

Highline Electric Association has a new electric vehicle charging station. It is an Enel X JuicePedestal 40 dual head Level 2 EV charging station, and it was installed Dec. 21.

HEA applied for the Charge Ahead Colorado EV Infrastructure grant from the Colorado Energy Office last summer for the charging station. The program objectives of the Charge Ahead Colorado EV Infrastructure grant include improving air quality and encouraging deployment of electric vehicles across the state.

The Colorado Energy Office awarded the grant to HEA July 27 to assist with the EV charging station’s purchase and installation costs.

Additionally, Tri-State Generation and Transmission, HEA’s power provider, offers membership co-ops further assistance with EV infrastructure costs through its Electric Vehicle Infrastructure Program.

Tri-State also offers an EV Experience Fleet program to its members, which provides them the opportunity to test-drive an electric vehicle.
