Farming Evolution packed with good info

Once again, the two-day Farming Evolution conference drew farmers and ranchers from multiple states to hear some of the best speakers in the industry. Around 150 people traveled to Phillips County Event Center in Holyoke for the Feb. 19-20 event.

Wednesday’s keynote speaker was Jimmy Emmons, an Oklahoma farmer who incorporates cover crop rotations on his cropland. Participants learned why Emmons says, “I’m a recovering tillage addict” and “long live the soil!”

Farming Evolution organizers have been waiting for years to get Dwayne Beck on the schedule and were thrilled to have him be the keynote speaker on Thursday. His work focuses on no-till systems for irrigated and dryland farms in the Great Plains.
