FFA attends districts

Twenty members of Holyoke FFA chapter attended the district leadership conference at Northeastern Junior College in Sterling on Dec. 4. The Holyoke chapter joined approximately 150 FFA members and seven chapters from northeast Colorado.
After being split into groups, teams alternated activities, either competing in a scavenger hunt, meeting with the Colorado state FFA officer team, touring Graham Electric or hearing from guest speaker Nicole Fisher.
Touring Graham Electric allowed FFA members to learn about the advancements in technology in precision agriculture, as well as learn of potential new careers they can soon partake in, such as welding, machine repair, in-field applications, engineering or creating a coding for a computer in agricultural equipment.
