Horticulture site visits begin June 3

    It is that time of year when the need arises for horticulture site visits. Due to last season’s extreme cold snap, there have been an overwhelming number of questions and/or concerns throughout the area.
    The Golden Plains Area Extension horticulture program associate, Linda Langelo, will begin making her weekly visits to the five counties (Kit Carson, Phillips, Sedgwick, Washington and Yuma) beginning Monday, June 3, and will continue with these through Friday, Aug. 30.
    To be of better assistance and to provide a quicker response, it would be greatly appreciated if interested individuals could take in a picture and a sample to their local office. This is especially the case if Langelo will not be in the local office that particular week.
    The travel schedule for Phillips County follow, with all dates falling on Wednesday through the season: June 5 and 19, July 3, 17 and 31, and August 14 and 28.
