Land donation approved for child care initiative

At a special meeting Thursday, May 7, the East Phillips County Hospital District board of directors approved the donation of property to the Holyoke Community Childcare Initiative.

Board member Steve Young said the details of the property still need mapped out after a survey of the ground is conducted, but the board has made the commitment to HCCI so they can move forward with plans to build a child care center near Melissa Memorial Hospital.
