MMH is recipient of Make4Covid face shields

When hospitals across Colorado were facing a shortage of personal protective equipment, a new group called Make4Covid answered the call.

Working alongside medical professionals, the Make4Covid community is designing, manufacturing, testing and distributing medical and protective equipment to address a critical need during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Last Saturday, April 4, a small plane flew out of Centennial Airport with face shields bound for Melissa Memorial Hospital in Holyoke. The plane was flown by Angel Flight West, a nonprofit that normally flies people with serious conditions to nonemergency medical appointments.
