MMH talks financials

At a special meeting of the East Phillips County Hospital District on Tuesday, Dec. 8, the board of directors passed a resolution for the adoption of the 2021 operating and capital budgets and certification of the mill levy.

The operating budget was presented on an accrual basis with total income before expenses of $19,062,188, including a mill levy certification of $990,206.

Total cash operating expenditures were $17,765,997, which equaled total operating expenses of $19,002,602 minus depreciation expense of $1,236,605. A capital budget of $996,500 brought the total cash expenditures to $18,762,497.

The board announced that the meeting scheduled for Tuesday, Dec. 22, has been moved to Tuesday, Jan. 5.

The board held a 30-minute executive session regarding personnel.
