Nov. 10: Colorado pheasant season opens, banquet planned

On Saturday, Nov. 10, pheasant hunting aficionados will have much cause for celebration. In addition to being opening day, Phillips County Pheasants Forever is hosting its 26th annual banquet.
The event will be held at the Phillips County Event Center at the fairgrounds in Holyoke. Doors will open at 5 p.m., and the meal catered by Kristie’s Katering served at 6 p.m. Though individuals need not be Pheasants Forever members to attend the meal, both annual memberships and meal tickets will be available for purchase at the door.
On top of dinner, the evening will feature several drawings for guns, a silent auction and games. In keeping with the organization’s goal to promote safe hunting for all ages, youth are invited and encouraged to attend. There will even be a dedicated gun drawing for the youth in attendance.
