Nuñez earns grand champion; 4 qualify for sale

Phillips County 4-H was well represented at the 2021 Colorado State Fair.

Juan Nuñez took top honors by winning grand champion, champion and first place in the electric competition with his junior Magic of Electricity project.

Four Phillips County livestock competitors earned the prestigious honor of qualifying for the junior livestock sale — Brooklyn Plumb in market hogs, Lucinda Mares in market goats, and Colby Weber and Tenley Becker in market beef.

Phillips County competed in a wide variety of projects, classes, units and age divisions.
