Oldest cattlemen’s group celebrates 150 years

    Colorado Cattlemen’s Association celebrated its 150th anniversary June 12-13 at its annual convention in Grand Junction with over 600 people in attendance. It is the oldest cattlemen’s association in the nation.
    Donna Lynne, lieutenant governor and chief operating officer, accepted CCA’s Lifetime Member Award on behalf of the State of Colorado. CCA wanted to recognize the State by awarding it the association’s highest honor.  
    CCA was founded nine years before Colorado entered statehood and has had a rich partnership with the State in the 141 years since.
