PC Telcom members may change future elections at annual meeting

On Tuesday, April 9, PC Telcom will hold its annual meeting at Holyoke High School. A catered meal will be served at 5:30 p.m. in the old gym, and the meeting will follow at 6:30 p.m. in the auditorium.
Items of note on the agenda are the election of two board members and voting on a resolution that could have a big impact on future elections. Incumbent John Schneider is seeking re-election as an urban director, along with Jeff Sullivan. Incumbent Glenn Huwa is seeking re-election as a rural director, along with Marla Camblin. Additional candidates may also be nominated from the floor at the meeting.
Also on the board of directors are rural member Terry Andersen, urban member Jerry Brandt and at-large member Deb Williamson. Members may serve up to four consecutive three-year terms according to Phillips County Telephone Company bylaws.
Members will also be voting on a resolution to change the bylaws at this year’s meeting. If passed, the amendment will, among other things, mean that all future board of directors elections will be conducted via mail-in ballot to allow for increased member participation.
