PCFES receives grant

The Foundation for Rural Service has announced the recipients of 23 grants totaling $104,000 to advance the quality of life and enable economic development in communities served by members of NTCA — The Rural Broadband Association.

PC Telcom, a member of NTCA, is pleased to announce Phillips County Family Education Services as one of these grant recipients. PC Telcom endorsed the PCFES application.

PCFES received $5,000 to purchase laptops to provide online English instruction and academic programs to ESL, GED and school age students.

“Linda Jelden put together a great application that is very worthy of this award,” PC Telcom Controller Jessica Cumming said. “This grant will be a great step forward for Jelden and her team as they utilize technology to carry out their mission in these challenging times.”
