Rancher to Rancher Exchange set for Tuesday, Aug. 20, south of Yuma
Sometimes the best part of a workshop, conference or field day is the conversations had in the hallways or after the event. What if the event was those conversations? Rancher to Rancher Exchange is a chance to share experiences and to learn from others who live and work in the same area.
The free event is set for Tuesday, Aug. 20, at 8 a.m. at Darrel and Arlene Smith’s home near Abarr south of Yuma. On Hwy 59, south of Yuma, turn east onto County Road 19, go east and south 5 miles to County Road 18 and K, turn south onto K, which ends at the house. There will be signs.
Coffee and rolls will be provided, but participants should bring a lawn chair. Reservations are not required, but it will help with the roll count. Contact the Yuma County Conservation District by Monday, Aug. 19, by calling 970-332-3107, ext. 3, or by emailing Dana at yccd77@gmail.com.
Any topic related to ranching is fair game. There’s no script, no formal presenter or speaker, no sales pitch. This is a chance to share insights and to learn from others’ experiences.
