Tamara Durbin named BOCES executive director

Northeast Colorado Boards of Cooperative Educational Services announced that Tamara Durbin has been hired as executive director.

Durbin has been the director of special education for Northeast Colorado BOCES for 20 years. She has a strong reputation within member districts and across the state as one of the foremost experts in special education.  

“We are thrilled that Tamara can bring her expertise and leadership experience into the executive director position and widen her influence over all aspects of our BOCES,” said Jay Wisdom, Northeast Colorado BOCES board president.  

Throughout her 20 years in this leadership position and during her eight years of prior educational service, Durbin has worked closely with parents, teachers and administrators to tackle difficult problems and increase the quality of services. Under Durbin’s leadership, the Northeast Colorado BOCES Special Education Administrative Unit is always among the top performers as measured by the State of Colorado.
