In true small-town fashion, locals help save pumpkins from freeze

With a forecast for the first freeze of the season looming, Pumpkins and More A-Maiz-ing Farm spent last week preparing for the inevitable, and in the process, saw the kind of community support that small-town folks love. From picking pumpkins to providing trailers and storage, selfless locals, including the HHS softball team, lent a hand to get the job done. When the temperatures dipped Oct. 10, the pumpkins were safely tucked away, ready and waiting to be carved, decorated and otherwise enjoyed throughout the fall season.
