Vieselmeyer attends WLC in DC

HHS FFA member Alex Vieselmeyer attended the FFA Washington Leadership Conference June 6-10 in Washington, D.C. Alongside approximately 350 other members, he took part in numerous activities and sessions focusing on four key topics: purpose, diversity, advocacy and service.
The FFA members also toured the Arlington National Cemetery, numerous memorials, the Capitol building, the Library of Congress and the Supreme Court. Some members had opportunities to speak with representatives and senators from their states.
Vieselmeyer’s group also traveled to the Newseum and learned about advocacy. That day’s dinner was a learning activity in itself, sorted according to the percentages of the world population.
Members also took part in a service project producing macaroni and cheese bags for the poor in Washington, D.C.  They packed 62,040 meals in one morning.
