Cancer kickin’ ranch rodeo set for Aug. 5 in Yuma

The Yuma County Fair is coming up, and the Dan Kirchenschlager Memorial Cancer Kickin’ Cowboys and Cowgirls Ranch Rodeo is set for Saturday, Aug. 5.

Calcutta starts at 5 p.m. with the rodeo at 6 p.m. at the Yuma County Fairgrounds in Yuma.

The rodeo is limited to the first 17 teams that enter. Entry deadline is Tuesday, Aug. 1. To enter, call Cassidee Gleghorn at 970-630-4500.

The event will benefit the Angels for Life in the Plains organization that helps cancer patients in the local area and surrounding communities.
