Marshall, Philips are Daniels Scholars

Kayla Marshall and Morgan Philips, seniors at Holyoke High School, have been named Daniels Scholarship recipients.
The Daniels Scholarship Program provides a four-year annually renewable college scholarship for graduating high school seniors who demonstrate exceptional character, leadership, a commitment to serving their communities and academic performance.
As a “last dollar” scholarship, the Daniels Fund will pay toward the remaining costs of the scholar’s education (tuition, fees, room/board, books and supplies) after other grants and scholarships.
The scholarship will help Marshall achieve her career goal of becoming a doctor. While she is undecided on a college or university, she plans to participate in a pre-medicine program and major in physiology or biochemistry. Marshall’s guardian is Stacey Krogmeier of Holyoke.
Philips plans to pursue a secondary education major with a specialty in the social sciences. At this point, she is undecided about what college or university to attend. Philips is the daughter of Jennifer Thomas and stepfather Jefferey Thomas and her late stepfather Mason Cornett.
