‘Bugle Boy Bob’ to perform in Holyoke on June 4

Bob Russell will be performing a trumpet and flugelhorn concert Saturday, June 4, from 3-4:30 p.m. at the Peerless Theatre in Holyoke. The event is free, and all ages are welcome to attend.

Nicknamed “Bugle Boy Bob,” he has been a member of concert, Christian and jazz bands for 45 years. The event will feature both patriotic and Christian music, as well as some personal observations and commentary in between songs.

Russell currently lives in Aledo, Texas, but was raised in Holyoke and graduated from Holyoke High School in 1964. He began his trumpet career in grade school, high school and college.
