‘Southern Charm’ is 2019 Legacy Event theme
Imagine warm summer nights, expansive trees, horse-drawn carriages, flowing dresses, tea hats. Yes ma’am, it sounds downright heavenly. The Melissa Memorial Hospital Foundation invites folks to take a break from the usual hustle and bustle of life and enjoy a slower pace like a true Southerner for just a night.
The MMHF’s ninth annual Legacy Event will feature a “Southern Charm” theme, and of course it wouldn’t be complete without the good food, good music and careful attention to detail central to Southern living. Guests can expect a night of elegance at the Saturday, Feb. 9, 2019, event. Attire may range from costumes depicting any Southern era to formal with a Southern flair to classic black tie.
Festivities will begin at the Phillips County Event Center with a 5-6:30 p.m. social and dinner at 6:30 p.m. A live auction will follow, and once it’s finished, a vacation will be raffled off. The winner will have the choice of traveling to New York City, Puntacana Resort and Club in the Dominican Republic or Savannah, Georgia. Silent auction items will be on display throughout the evening, and bidding will close after the raffle. Rounding out the Legacy Event will be a dance.
