‘Veteran’ monster truck rides added to entertainment at PCR season opener

“The Veteran” monster truck rides have been added to the fun scheduled at Phillips County Raceway’s season opener Saturday, April 20, starting sharply at 5 p.m.
Raceway promoter Joe Bellm is especially pleased to bring the Veteran monster ride truck to the track to give raceway fans a once-in-a-lifetime chance to ride in a monster truck.
The truck will be part of the national anthem to begin the races, and the opportunity for rides will be offered at intermission and after the races.
The entire fee for riding in the Veteran will go to the Veteran Monster Truck company sponsor, Bellm explained.
Veteran Monster Truck promoter Michael Scanlon emphasized that they are committed to honoring and supporting military veterans from all five branches of the armed forces. “It’s core to our mission,” he added.
Phil Wilson, owner of Veteran Monster Truck’s parent company, Wilson Extreme Sports, is a U.S. Navy veteran and is proud to give back to various veteran programs.
At this time, they donate just over 15% of all Veteran Monster Truck merchandise sales (not ride fees) to American Warrior Garage, Disabled American Veterans and Veterans of Foreign Wars.
